BondGuard ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application operated by Rowlytics Pty Ltd (ABN 62 616 476 923) that helps Australian tenants document property condition, log maintenance issues, and build evidence packages for rental bond disputes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication. You may also sign in using Google or Apple accounts. You may use the app anonymously without providing personal details.
Information you enter about rental properties, including property addresses, tenant and agent names, report types (move-in or move-out), room conditions, and maintenance issues. This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
Photos and videos you capture or select as part of condition reports and maintenance logs. These files are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and are associated with your user account and specific reports.
If you grant location permission, we collect your location to geotag photos with GPS coordinates and to assist with property address entry. Location data is only collected when the app is actively in use and you initiate a location-tagged action.
Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We do not directly process or store payment card details. RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) handle billing. We receive subscription status information (active plan, expiry date) to manage your access to premium features.
We collect anonymised crash reports and usage analytics through Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to improve app stability and user experience. This data does not personally identify you.

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase) located in the Australia region (australia-southeast1) where available. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. We take reasonable steps as required by APP 11 to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (profile, reports, room entries, maintenance logs, and photos) is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
BondGuard is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us at the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
